Businesswoman To Honor Late Mother With Floral Shop In Newark
A new, woman-owned small business will be blossoming in the city: Madonna's Garden Florist. Here's when the grand opening will take place.

NEWARK, NJ — A new, woman-owned small business will be blossoming in Newark next month: Madonna’s Garden Florist.
The floral and event design studio will be holding its grand opening in downtown Newark from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19 at 1212 A Raymond Boulevard. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m.
The event will feature live entertainment, refreshments, floral giveaways (while supplies last) and remarks from local community leaders. It will be open to the public.

Owned by veteran floral designer Sheaun Barnes, Madonna’s Garden Florist is the realization of a lifelong dream. With more than 35 years of experience – including 17 of them as the lead designer at Scentiments Florist inside Cotton Funeral Service – Barnes brings her signature artistry and deep community ties to the new venture.
Named in honor of her late mother, Madonna, the shop reflects a legacy of “love, encouragement and creativity.”
