Conservancy Hosting Block Party Saturday

The Greater Newark Conservancy will hold its annual Spring Block Party Saturday, May 11 from 10 am to 2 pm.

The event will be held at the Urban Environmental Center, 32 Prince St. (between Springfield and South Orange avenues).

In addition to the annual plant sale (just in time for Mother’s Day), there will be lots of free and fun activities for the whole family including music, kids’ crafts, face painting, make- your-own bean baby, a Children’s Garden Safari, garden demonstrations, a garden supply giveaway, cooking demonstrations with free samples plus  information booths and vendors. Newark Youth Leadership Project (NYLP) interns will be staffing the Youth Farm Stand, offering fresh produce for sale.
