Damaged Pole Knocks Out Power Near Newark Intersection: PSEG
The outage is currently impacting about 170 customers, PSE&G said Friday afternoon.

NEWARK, NJ — A damaged utility pole knocked out power near an intersection in Newark on Friday, according to PSE&G.
A spokesperson for the utility provider said there was damage to a utility pole at the intersection of Tiffany Boulevard and Mount Prospect Avenue.
“Once the tree is removed, restoration and repair work will begin replacing the pole and damaged equipment,” the statement continued.

The outage is currently impacting about 170 customers, PSE&G said Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory that is in effect for all 21 counties until 4 p.m. Forecasters say that northwest gusts can range from 35 to 50 miles per hour, potentially knocking over unsecured items outside and blowing down tree limbs.
