Newark Man, 27, Reported Missing; Police Ask Public For Help

The missing man drives an orange-colored Dodge Charger, police said.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are asking for the public’s help with finding a missing local resident, authorities announced Thursday.

Maliq J. Sanders, 27, of Newark, was reported missing on Wednesday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Sanders was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on the 100-block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. He is African American, 6 feet 5 inches and has brown eyes (see photo above).

Sanders drives a four-door, orange-colored Dodge Charger with New Jersey registration number X93MSU, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.
