Donations Sought for Brookdale Fire Victims

The City of Newark and the Newark Fire Department are asking the public to donate to the familieson Brookdale Avenue that claimed five lives, including three young children.

Monetary donations can be mailed or hand-delivered to Newark Fire Department Headquarters, 1010 18th Ave., Newark, NJ 07106. Checks should be made payable to “Newark Fireman’s Charity Fund”. Donors should also write “33 Brookdale Avenue Fire” on the memo line of the check.

Those who wish to donate clothing or other supplies can deliver them to the NFD firehouse at 360 Clinton Ave.
