Essex County College Celebrates Read Across America
Young Students Share in the Spirit of Seuss
Essex County College celebrated Read Across America Day, Friday, March 2, with readings to children in the child development center on the school’s Newark campus.
The school also hosted readings this past Monday.
Read Across America day is held on the birthday of beloved children’s author Theodor Geisel, better known by his nom de plume, Dr. Seuss. Readers wore striped stove-pipe hats in homage to Geisel’s most famous work, The Cat in the Hat.
