Fabyan Place Man Charged with Drug Offenses
Sheriff: Nearly 2,000 heroin 'decks' found in closet

Narcotics detectives from the Essex County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 32-year-old city man Wednesday, part of an ongoing effort by the department to combat drugs in the South Ward.
Detectives armed with a search warrant surrounded the Fabyan Place home of Michael Waters and watched him leave before officers stopped his vehicle a few blocks away. Detectives, meanwhile, searched the home, where they allegedly found 1,746 decks of heroin stashed in a closet and stamped with the words “Man Down” in red ink.
Officers also found items used in the processing and packaging of drugs, the sheriff’s office said.
Waters was charged with possession, possession with intent to distribute and other drug offenses. He was being held in the Essex County Correctional Facility.
