Officials are investigating the murder of a 46-year-old city man Saturday night, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.
Newark police responded to a report of a shooting near 76 Broad St. around 8 pm. There they found Christopher Johnson lying unresponsive in a courtyard. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
