Four Stabbed During Domestic Dispute

A man was arrested Thursday after he stabbed three people and then himself during a domestic dispute, Sgt. Ron Glover of the Newark Police Department said.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, allegedly stabbed his victims during a dispute at 181 Mapes Ave. around 8 am. The victims include his girlfriend and two of her children, a daughter aged 16 and a 23-year-old son. A third child, an 8-year-old boy, was unhurt.

The suspect and his girlfriend are both in critical condition at UMDNJ. The other two victims are in stable condition.

Charges against the man are pending, Glover said.
