Gloria Gaynor Donates Paintings To Newark Hospital’s Pediatric Wing
The Thomas Kinkade collection – inspired by the Disney universe – will help to brighten up the environment for young patients.
NEWARK, NJ — The pediatric wing of a Newark hospital recently got a double-whammy of good news: a donation of paintings from Thomas Kinkade, and a visit from Brick City native Gloria Gaynor.
Gaynor – a Grammy Award winning musician who many might recognize by her mega-hit, “I Will Survive” – was born at University Hospital and has been a friend of the organization since.
Last week, Gaynor visited the hospital to present it with a seven-part series of paintings by iconic artist Thomas Kinkade. The collection – inspired by the Disney universe – will be prominently displayed in the pediatric wing, where it will help to brighten up the environment for young patients.
