The state Department of Children and Families last sent a caseworker to the home May 2 and is conducting an investigation. The foster parent, who was also caring for two other children, had never been investigated for abuse or neglect, said Allison Blake, commissioner of the department.

The other two children are being relocated, Blake also said.
