Local Sluggers Advance to State Championships
North Newark Junior League players compete this weekend
The Junior League of the, which consists of players aged 13 and 14, became Section 2 Junior League champions by defeating Elmora of Elizabeth on Tuesday, July 24. The young sluggers represent the city in the four-team Junior League State Championship tournament beginning tonight in Gloucester City.
The winners this weekend will represent New Jersey in the regional finals of the Junior League Little League World Series.
