The Newark Police Department and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the murder Sunday of a 49-year-old city resident.
Michael Brown was shot multiple times on the 100 block of Elizabeth Avenue. Brown, who worked as a handyman, was pronounced dead less than an hour after being shot at 8:16 pm
