Man Stabbed to Death Friday Night

A domestic dispute March 23 turned fatal, resulting in the death of a 41-year-old city man, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office has announced.

Shawnell Anderson was stabbed on Vermont Avenue around 8:57 p.m. March 23 and was pronounced dead about an hour later, authorities said.

Authorities also said a "person of interest" has been identfied in the case. No arrests had been made as of this weekendbut the person was being "pursued," authorities said.
