Newark High School Football Player Scores $5K Scholarship
A high school football player from Newark recently scored himself a $5,000 scholarship, which he'll put to use at Kean University.

NEWARK, NJ — A high school football player from Newark recently scored himself a $5,000 scholarship, which he'll put to use at Kean University.
The Other Side of the End Zone announced last week that Kaemir Carter, a graduating senior at West Side High School in Newark, is the recipient of its inaugural $5,000 scholarship.
Carter – an outstanding offensive and defensive lineman for West Side’s football team – also excels in basketball and track. He will be attending Kean University this fall, where he will continue to play football.

The nonprofit offers financial aid to high school students who “demonstrate strong academic performance and character traits in addition to excellence on the football field.” Learn more about The Other Side of the End Zone here.
