Newark Lights Up the Menorah

What's going on Tuesday, Dec. 3

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the city of Newark will host its official menorah lighting in honor of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights. Among the attendees expected at the ceremony, taking place at city hall at 4:30 pm, are Mayor Luis Quintana, Berger Organization president and CEO Miles Berger, and the Newark Boys School Apprentice Choir.


Also Tuesday, more than 100 families officially graduate from the Early Childhood Nutrition Program sponsored by Nestle and Newark Now!. The program teaches families the fundamentals of good nutrition and the role it plays in healthy childhood development. The families will be honored with a luncheon at The Newark Club.
