A city man was arrested Friday after authorities said he tried to start a fire at the moving company where he worked.
Michael Parker, 40, was asked to leave Father and Son Moving on Frelinghuysen Avenue Friday morning, acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray said. He left but came back with a can of gasoline, which he poured in the foyer of the business and ignited. The building sustained slight damage before the fire was extinguished.
Parker was arrested and charged with aggravated arson and making terroristic threats.
