Newark Museum Gets Science Education Grant
Money will be used to encourage interest in research and technology careers

The Newark Museum is one of two institutions in New Jersey to receive grants for their STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) programs from Cognizant Technology Solutions, the company announced in a statement.
The museum, which will receive $12,500, received the grant as part of Cognizant’s “Making the Future” initiative, a plan to foster afterschool and other programs in math, science and related disciplines. The program has awarded a total of $5 million for projects, in addition to awarding college scholarships and other efforts.
The Piscataway Public Library also received a grant.
