Newark Schools Launch Streamlined Enrollment System

Families will be able to easily choose among charters, neighborhood schools

NJ Spotlight Thursday published a story about rollout of the Newark Public Schools’ new centralized enrollment system, which is designed to allow families to choose seamlessly among traditional district schools and its 16 charters. Superintendent Cami Anderson announced the plan in the spring as part of a program called “One Newark,” whose aim is to lift the quality of all the district’s public schools.  

The enrollment system kicks in in time for the 2014-15 school year.
