No One Hurt After Rough Landing at Newark Liberty Saturday
Aircraft landing gear failed to deploy

Passengers on a flight touching down at Newark Liberty International Airport early Saturday had a bumpy ride after a problem with the plane’s landing gear forced the pilot to make a “belly” landing.
An official with US Airways told the Associated Press none of the 34 passengers and crew were hurt when the turboprop craft, which was arriving from Philadelphia, made the unusual landing at 1 am. The plane circled Newark Liberty several times while the crew unsuccessfully attempted to deploy the landing gear before opting for the belly landing.
