PHOTOS: District Hosts High School Fair Saturday

On March 9, the Newark Public Schools hosted a fair for all 8th graders in the city to assist them with choosing a high school for next school year, 2013-2014.  The fair, which took place at Central High School, was an opportunity to learn more about the new high school application process.  This year, all students are required to list the schools they wish to attend in order of preference by March 22.  Students with special needs and English language learners were welcome at the fair.  Spanish, Portuguese, French and French-Creole speakers were available to provide guidance and assist with applications.
