NEWARK, NJ — Plans for a 45-story residential skyscraper at 571 Broad Street have been approved by the Newark Office of Planning and Zoning, a report says. The building, <a href="https://newyorkyimby.com/2023/02/city-officials-approve-arc-tower-at-571-broad-street-in-newark-new-jersey.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">which has been dubbed the "Arc Tower,"</a> will top out at 520 feet above ground, making it Newark's tallest structure. It will include more than 300 residential apartments, 1,800 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a public plaza in front of the building, New York YIMBY reported Thursday. The proposal was drawn up by New York-based INOA Architecture, which has <a href="https://jerseydigs.com/arc-tower-newark/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">designed several other high-profile projects in Newark</a>, Jersey Digs previously reported.
