Pro Soccer Stars Visit Newark Hospital To Cheer Up Patients, Staff
The Gotham FC standouts took time to sign autographs, speak with fans and pose for photos.
NEWARK, NJ — Some professional soccer stars recently paid a visit to hospitals across North Jersey to brighten up the day for patients and staff, including one in Newark.
Gotham FC players made a trip to several RWJBarnabas Health hospitals earlier this month, including Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. The players took time to sign autographs, speak with fans and pose for photos with patients and staff members.
The visitors to Newark Beth Israel included Rose Lavelle and Emily Sonnett, both members of the US Women’s National Team - World Cup Champions (2019) and Olympic Gold Medalists (2024).
