Reward Offered for Info on 2006 Murder

Victim was 19-year-old city resident

Essex County law enforcement authorities yesterday posted a cash reward offer for information about a 2006 homicide.

    Sheriff Armando Fontoura stated that the Crimestoppers program would pay up to $5,000 for details that lead to an arrest in the shooting death of 19-year-old Al Kareem Grant, a Newark resident.  The shooting took place near the intersection of Bergen Street and Nye Avenue at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 3, 2006.
