A 56-year-old city woman died April 18 after police said she was repeatedly stabbed by her son, Nj.com reported.

Francine Swenson was allegedly attacked by 27-year-old Robert Swenson April 15. Robert Swenson has a history of mental health problems and was covered in her blood when police arrived at the scene, sources told Nj.com.
Swenson reportedly told police he had accidentally stabbed the woman shortly after 6 am at their 14th Avenue home, but later admitted the attack was deliberate and that “God told him” to do it.
Swenson has been charged with murder and weapons offenses.
