Suspects in 2010 Murder Acquitted
Three had been charged in shooting death of 33-year-old woman

A jury Monday found three men accused of killing a Newark woman during a 2010 shootout not guilty, Nj.com reported.
Khalil Stafford, Ishmael Scott and Aaron Terrell were acquitted of all charges connected to the murder of Hope Davis, 33, who was shot and killed during a barbecue on Garside Street June 19, 2010.
Jurors told Nj.com prosecutors produced little evidence pointing to the three defendants. No weapon was ever recovered and there was no physical evidence linking the men to the crime.
The case took a strange turn earlier this month, when one of the suspects, Scott, was mistakenly released from prison. He voluntarily returned to court the following day.
