Teen Shot to Death Yesterday

A 19-year-old city resident was shot and killed yesterday evening, the Essex County Prsecutor's Office anounced today.

Shawn Hill was shot on the 400 block of S. 19th Street and later pronounced dead at 7:28 pm, the prosecutor's office said. No suspects have yet been identified and the matter remains under investigation.

A number of other shootings, all non-fatal, also occurred yesterday. Information on those incidents will be released soon, a Newark police department spokesman said today.
