Two Weeks of Free Parking in Newark Begin Dec. 16
Other parking regulations remain in effect

Mayor Luis Quintana and the city of Newark will be offering free parking at all the city’s 1,600 metered spaces beginning Monday, Dec. 16. Collection at meters resumes Dec. 30.
The city is offering free parking to encourage holiday shopping in the city, especially in the central business district, where most of the meters are located.
“We hope that this free parking will encourage people to come to Newark to do their holiday shopping, and enjoy our many attractions and dining options,” said Mayor Quintana. “We welcome holiday shoppers, who will find Newark a friendly and convenient place for all their shopping needs.”
