Two Women Dead, 3 Injured In Crash In Newark: Police
Two women died and three others were hurt after striking a pole, police said.
NEWARK – Two women died and three others were injured after their car struck a pole in New Jersey on Saturday, police said.
The two fatal victims were identified as Tahtiyana Green, 17, and Imani Exum, 21, both of Newark, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.
The crash happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. at 15th Avenue and Hunterdon Street in Newark, police said. The victims were not identified at press time.

A black Infinity G35 struck a "no parking for street cleaning" pole and tree, police said.
The two women were pronounced dead soon after the crash. Two male passengers were transported to University Hospital, police said.

The two injured male passengers were reportedly in critical condition and one female passenger was in stable condition on Saturday, police said. They remained hospitalized on Sunday.
