Volunteers Needed for West Ward Cleanup June 8

Several groups plan to participate.

Mayor Cory A. Booker, West Ward Councilman Ronald C. Rice, Neighborhood and Recreational Services Director Tharien Karim Arnold, the Unified Vailsburg Services Organization, Babyland Family Services, the Urban League, La Casa de Don Pedro, and the West Ward Economic Development Corporation announced they are partnering to hold the second annual West Ward Community Clean-up on Saturday, June 8,, from 10 am to 3 pm. Volunteers and teams are being sought to participate in this annual effort to clean and beautify sites in the Vailsburg, Fairmount, and Roseville neighborhoods.

Volunteers and teams will meet at the Boylan Street Recreation Center on Saturday, June 8, at 10 a.m., and be issued cleaning equipment by the Department of Neighborhood and Recreational Services. They will proceed to sites, and clean them until 3 p.m.
