Will Newark Get Snow This Week? See Local Weather Forecast

NEWARK, NJ — Will Newark see snow this week? According to weather forecasters, there’s a “slight chance of snow showers” on Tuesday and Wednesday – and some rain possible later in the week.

Monday was expected to be calm and dry, with temperatures as warm as the mid-40s, the National Weather Service (NWS) said. But the chance of precipitation and "snow squalls" increases as the week progresses.

Here’s the latest forecast for Newark, according to the NWS:

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 39. Southwest wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 30. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Southwest wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tuesday: A slight chance of rain and snow showers between 10am and 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Northwest wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers after 1am. Increasing clouds, with a steady temperature around 30. Wind chill values between 20 and 25. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph after midnight.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. West wind 9 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 23.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 36.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45.

Friday Night: A chance of rain showers before 1am, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday: A chance of rain and snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around 22.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34.
