Women's Center Offering Beginner Classes in Spanish, Computers

The WISE Women’s Center at Essex County College, 303 University Ave., has scheduled several classes that begin in January. All classes are held at the center on the main Newark campus.

First Step to Computers is a 10-session course for those who know nothing about computers. Students will learn how to operate a computer with confidence. The class is set for Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Jan. 14, from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Total cost of the sessions is $165.

Conversational Spanish I will help students learn Spanish vocabulary, develop communication skills and learn various aspects of the Hispanic culture. The class will meet five times on Saturdays, starting Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon. Tuition is $100.
