NEW BRUNSWICK – Two deceased newborns were recovered at a New Jersey recycling center on Wednesday, authorities said.

Authorities said they recovered the two unidentified newborns from a New Brunswick recycling facility early Wednesday.

The discovery was made as New Brunswick police conducted an investigation in the area of the Colgate Paper Stock Co. at 12 Industrial Drive, authorities said.

Police soon recovered a deceased newborn at the recycling center at 9:20 a.m., authorities said. Further investigation at the facility led to the recovery of another newborn approximately six hours later.

Autopsies are being conducted by the Middlesex Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
