$50,000 Powerball Ticket Sold In Middlesex County Will Expire Jan. 13

A lottery ticket sold at the 7-Eleven near the Menlo Park mall will expire Jan. 13.

EDISON, NJ — Two Powerball tickets, each worth $50,000, sold in Middlesex and Ocean counties in the past year are set to expire soon, the New Jersey State Lottery announced Monday.

Two big unclaimed prizes will expire soon:

  • A $50,000 Powerball prize expires Jan. 13. The ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven #11457, 249 Lafayette Road in Edison (the 7-Eleven at the Menlo Park Mall).
  • A $50,000 Powerball prize expires Feb 1. The ticket was purchased at Wine Outlet, 526 Arnold Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach.

In New Jersey, lottery players have one year to claim prizes before they expire.

In May, a Mercer County player uncovered a discarded four-month old Mega Millions ticket. After checking the numbers, the player realized it was worth $1 million.
