2 Motorcycles Stolen This Week On Rutgers Piscataway Campus

Rutgers Police say a U-Haul box truck was involved in stealing both motorcycles. No arrests have been made yet.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — There have now been two motorcycles stolen this week on the Rutgers Livingston campus in Piscataway, Rutgers campus police announced.

Rutgers Police detectives say a U-Haul box truck was involved in stealing both motorcycles. No arrests have been made yet.

In the first instance, a Rutgers student said he parked his 2006 Red Ducati in Lot 103 (61 Road 3, Piscataway) at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8. When he returned at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, the bike was gone.

Then, a second student told police he parked his bike at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9 in Lot 101 (53 Avenue E), and when he returned at 9:00 p.m. that same day, it was gone.

Police ask that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time and saw that U-Haul van to immediately contact the RUPD’s Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
