Galvan was arrested that same day and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault by contact and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

In May of this year, following a six-day trial, a Somerset County jury found Galvan guilty of second-degree sexual assault of a victim less than 13 years old, and third-degree child endangerment. Galvan will not be eligible for parole until he serves 85 percent of the sentence. He must register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.
