The Elijah’s Promise Culinary School will host a Farm to Table event at 6:30 p.m. July 17 at the EARTH Center at Davidson’s Mill Pond Park, home of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County, at 42 Riva Ave., South Brunswick.
This year’s event will be “All About Ice Cream” and other assorted frozen treats featuring locally grown ingredients grown prepared by students and chefs from the Elijah's Promise Culinary School.
The Farm to Table series, focuses on supporting locally grown produce, which reduces pollution created by shipping food long distances.

Attendees will first tour the EARTH Center’s gardens, then experience the culinary techniques used to prepare seasonal produce. Some of the food prepared for tasting will be harvested from the EARTH Center’s vegetable garden.
Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County staff and volunteers work with Elijah's Promise and Farmers Against Hunger to maintain and harvest produce from a 1,200 sq. ft garden. Food is donated to Elijah's Promise and other local food banks.
