Magyar Bank Donates $1,000 to Middlesex County College

Magyar Bank recently donated $1,000 to the EMPOWER program at the Middlesex County College’s New Brunswick Center.

EMPOWER is a mentoring program for Latino youth that encourages them to work hard and go on to college. The money will be used for scholarships for the group.

“Magyar Bank is one of our best community partners, a strong supporter since the beginning of the program,” said Evelyn Rosa, director of the New Brunswick Center. “One of its executives, Carmen Oshiro, is on the EMPOWER advisory board and helps mentor students. We are very grateful for their involvement and support.”
