Band-Aid Burglaries Occurred In Rutgers Dorm Thursday Night
In both instances, the Rutgers students said young men, 18 to 21 years old, showed up at the doors and asked for Band-Aids.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Two burglaries occurred Thursday night at Katzenbach dorm hall on the Rutgers campus, announced Rutgers Police.
Both break-ins happened between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday: In both instances, the Rutgers students said young men, 18 to 21 years old, showed up at the doors and asked for Band-Aids. As the students went into their dorm rooms to get the Band-Aids, both young men entered the rooms through the open doors, and then left.
After they left, both students said they discovered their wallets had been stolen.

The burglaries occurred simultaneously, said police. The students live in two neighboring rooms in Katzenbach Hall.
Rutgers Police released this description of the perpetrators: The first suspect is described as a light-skinned male with an athletic build, who measures between 5-06" and 5-08" in height and was wearing a backwards blue New York Yankees baseball cap, black t-shirt, red shorts with "ANGEL" inscribed along the front portion, white necklace, and white sneakers at the time of the reported encounter.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned male with a thin build, who measures approximately 5-05" in height and was wearing a black t-shirt, black jogger style sweatpants, and white sneakers at the time of the reported encounter.
The Rutgers University Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the RUPD Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
