Boy, 16, Shot And Killed In New Brunswick Monday Night

At 6:26 p.m. Monday, authorities responded to the area of Lee Avenue and Rutgers Street for a report of a shooting.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A 16-year-old teenage boy was shot and killed Monday night in New Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Chief Vincent Sabo announced.

At 6:26 p.m. Monday, authorities responded to the area of Lee Avenue and Rutgers Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, New Brunswick Police officers located the teen boy, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

He died there, said the prosecutor. The teen boy lived in New Brunswick.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor had no further information to release.
