Car Fire In New Brunswick RWJ Fitness Parking Garage Wednesday

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A car caught fire Wednesday afternoon in the parking garage of the RWJ Fitness & Wellness Center in New Brunswick.

This is a multi-story parking garage near the New Brunswick train station.

It is unknown how the car caught fire, but the New Brunswick Fire Dept. confirmed on their Facebook page they are working on a motor vehicle fire in the Wellness Center Parking Deck, at 100 Kirkpatrick Street.

The public is asked to avoid the area.

People were evacuated from the RWJ Fitness & Wellness Center due to the fire. People reported having to leave the gym in wet bathing suits and being ushered outside.
