Council to Meet Tonight

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

The New Brunswick City Council will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 3 in council chambers of City Hall.

Discussions for tonight include an ordinance that would raise parking meter rates in the city, according to a report on NewBrunswickToday.com.

If approved, rates would double to $1 per hour on a number of streets, including Easton Avenue, Jersey Avenue and French Street, and increase to $1.25 per hour at those meters elsewhere in the city that currently charge $1 per hour to park, according to the report.
