Elijah's Promise to Host Oktoberfest Fundraiser

Elijah's Promise is embracing the fall season and hosting an Oktoberfest beer tasting dinner and fundraiser from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 12 at Suydam Farms, 1803 Route 27, Somerset.

The event menu is slated to pair local beers from The Pale Ales, Harvest Moon Cafe and Brewery and Triumph Brewery with a fall menu prepared by students of the Promise Culinary School, according to Elijah's Promise Executive Director Lisanne Finston.

"Menu items include Baked Potato Soup with Beer Steamed Mussels, Soft Pretzel stuffed with Bockwurst and Gouda Onion Relish, Sweet Potato Pierogi with Jalapeno Molasses Sauce, Brown Ale Caramel Swirl Gelato and other dishes prepared by students and instructors in the Promise Culinary School," Finston wrote in an email about the event. 

The event will also feature a silent auction, according to Elijah's Promise.

Tickets are $50 per person.
