The Sisters Network of Central New Jersey, a support and awareness organization for African-American women with breast cancer, will hold a USATF certified walk/run on Oct. 1 at Franklin High School.
In addition to the walk and run, the event will feature vendors, live entertainment, and a breast cancer survivors tent.
The deadline for early registration is Aug. 1, and the deadline for advance registration is $28. Those registering on-site the day of the event must pay cash. Early registration applicants are guaranteed a T-shirt.

The event will take place rain or shine.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with a 5K race at 8:30 a.m., and a 5K walk at 9:45 a.m.
