The Diocese of Metuchen will host a liturgical formation workshop on the topic of Pastoral Care for the Sick for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.
Catholic chaplains, who serve in medical facilities in the Diocese of Metuchen, will share their experiences and pastoral perspectives on this ministry with participants. Guidelines, rites and pastoral practices for those who bring Holy Communion to those who are sick in hospitals and other health care facilities as well as to the homebound will be reviewed. Scheduled presenters include: Rev. John J. Morley, Chaplain, Raritan Bay Medical Center; Deacon Joseph Moscinski, Chaplain, Carrier Clinic; and Clare Giangreco, diocesan Director of Liturgical Formation.
