Flood Watch Issued for Middlesex

Expect another deluge today.

The NWS is calling for 2 to 4 inches of rain with higher amounts possible locally. Due to the heavy rain on Friday and Monday, local rivers, creeks and streams are already running high and will not take much additional precipitation to flood over again.

Nearly six inches of rain fell Friday into Saturday, before the deluge continued on Monday from the remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea, which caused flooding along the Jersey Shore and parts of Middlesex, Mercer and Monmouth counties.
