Flu Shot Clinics Announced

The Middlesex County Office of Health Services is hosting 17 pneumonia and influenza vaccine clinics through Oct. 30 in Middlesex County.

The Middlesex County Office of Health Services will offer 17 flu and pneumonia shot clinics in Middlesex County through Oct. 30, one of which will be in New Brunswick.

According to County Health Services Director Lester Jones, it is recommended that all residents ages six months or older receive the shot.

The following clinics will be offered by the county in New Brunswick:

  • 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 25 at the New Brunswick Senior Resource Center. 81 Huntington St.

Flu vaccines are $15 each, and are open to county residents ages six months and older. Appointments are not required to receive the flu shot.

Pneumonia vaccines are $20 each, and are available to residents ages 65 and older who have not received the vaccine before. They must be scheduled in advance by calling (732) 745-3100 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Residents who present a valid Red, White, and Blue Medicare card for either vaccine will not be charged, according to the county. All others must pay cash, with no bills larger than $20 accepted, according to the county.
