Frog & The Peach to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project

Live music and food and wine tastings will be held on Sept. 20.

The Frog and the Peach, one of New Jersey Monthly’s Top 25 in 2013, and long considered one of New Jersey’s most popular and innovative restaurants, is inviting the public to join its 30th anniversary celebration as a benefit that will support The Wounded Warrior Project.

On Friday, September 20th, from 6 – 10 p.m., the New Brunswick restaurant (located at 29 Dennis Street at Hiram Square) will provide patrons with live entertainment and samplings from their summer food and drink menus.

Patrons will be asked for a suggested donation of $100 per couple, with proceeds to help fund The Wounded Warrior Project.

To RSVP, or for more information, call 732-846-3216.

“We would like our friends both old and new to enjoy the restaurant in an open and festive atmosphere,” said Bruce Lefebvre, the restaurant’s owner and Executive Chef.  “In addition, they will be supporting a very worthwhile cause.”  The restaurant’s kitchen will be “open” for the night and guests can pass through as the chefs prepare Grilled Local Sea Scallops with Sea Urchin Orzo, Iberico Pork Skirt Steak a la plancha and Classic Jersey Peach Melba.

The Wounded Warrior Project is intended to raise awareness and enlist the public’s support for the needs of injured service veterans.  What started as a desire to provide comfort to wounded service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center has grown into a holistic rehabilitative effort to assist warriors with both visible and invisible wounds as they recover and transition back to civilian life.  Tens of thousands of Wounded Warriors and their families have received support since the organization began in 2003
