Man Broke Into Rutgers Student's Apartment, Police Say

A New Brunswick man is charged with burglary after police say he broke into a Rutgers student's house last Sunday.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — A New Brunswick man is charged with burglary after police say he broke into a Rutgers student's house last Sunday, Aug. 17.

Brandon Brown, 30, of New Brunswick, was arrested and charged with burglary and multiple counts of invasion of privacy.

Police say he broke into a private home on Mine Street at 4:39 a.m. Aug. 17.

The home is occupied by a Rutgers student, who told police Brown was inside his home, and Brown took photos inside the home with his cell phone. The Rutgers student said he does not know Brown.

There was no forcible entry and no items of value were taken, said police.

Brown was arrested late last week.
