Man Killed, Woman Injured In Middlesex County Stabbing

A man and a woman were both found by police with serious stab wounds; the man died at the scene.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ — A man was stabbed to death late Sunday night in South Plainfield, and a woman was seriously injured in the stabbing as well, announced Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

The man killed was identified as Brandon Andrews-Cruz, 38, of Raritan. The woman was not identified by name.

At 1:57 a.m. Monday, South Plainfield Police received a 911 call reporting a stabbing at a home on Tooz Place. Upon arrival authorities located Andrews-Cruz and a 32-year-old woman from South Plainfield, both with stab wounds.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene and the woman was transported toa hospital, where she is currently being treated for her injuries.
